Not much, but hello anyway...

I have been super organised today – its pay day and I’ve done lots of personal admin and paying of bills. But I made the mistake of going to the post office in my lunch break and ended up queuing for over twenty minutes. But I did get to listen to people talk REALLY loudly on their mobiles about their pointless lives which was… interesting… and then I picked up the wrong sandwich in M&S but apart from that, everything went well!

I haven’t blogged in a couple of days because I’ve been tired and busy. Not a great combination. And to be honest, this won’t be the most interesting entry I’ve ever done either! We’re looking forward to picking Bess up on Thursday and I’m making homemade organic burgers and salad tonight but that’s about it…

A bit of this and a bit of that

It’s payday and I’m very happy. Already the money is flying out of the account to pay various bills, but still, I’ll feel relatively well off for the next week or two at least.

We’re away again quite a lot this month. We’re working on an organic farm in Wales at the end of the month, and I’m going on an alpaca training course (you think I’m joking when I say we want to move to a farm and have animals, I’m not!) and we’re off to Brighton again for a friend’s leaving party…

We’re having friends over for dinner tonight, so I need to leave earlier to have a bit of a tidy up – no doubt Pluto will have strewn toys all over the house. I might get some fresh flowers as well.

I’m not sure what the plans are for this weekend, probably whatever we do will be low-key in lieu of going-away the very next weekend. I might take my partner for dinner though. There’s a Mediterranean restaurant in Fulham called Mimosa that I want to try.

Slightly is in Cornwall at the moment with his partner. I’m regularly checking his blog because he’s uploading photos he’s taken on his phone. It makes me miss Cornwall very much. I’d love to be there right now… wind, rain, whatever!

Pay day!

I’m a bad girl. I’ve just ordered two tops from American Eagle… pay day anyone?! I have just paid all my bills so I felt I needed a little sugar.

I need to take the hound out for his morning constitutional because he’s looking at me like he’s been abused… oh sure you feed me premium dog food, you love me and spend time playing and stroking me, you walk me twice a day and you think it’s funny when I do sideway’s rolls (don’t ask, but it’s like a crocodile doing a death roll) and I have access to a lovely garden but you haven’t walked me his morning and frankly lady, that’s what counts… I’m such a bad mother…

I’m a little ashamed of our window boxes. There, I said it. Tomorrow we’re off to Homobase to get new boxes and some flowers and plants. Our pansies have wilted and the lemon conifers look like they’ve been through a very rough detox. In short, our boxes are not up to our usual high standard. And as I sit here typing away I think it’s time to bring them into the back garden where they can be revived and supported through plant group therapy…

Anyway, I’m supposed to be doing some work not documenting the chaos in my personal life. Although I suppose if all that’s wrong is the dog hasn’t been walked and the lemon conifers need a water, I’m doing OK…

Surfing 9 - 5

Pay day… I’m rich, I’m rich… until I’ve paid all my bills and then I’m poor, I’m poor… OK, slight exaggeration but it’s amazing what you spend out on just the fundamentals of day to day living. I’m sure there will be enough left over for the odd treat or two and a nice meal for me and the missus. We are trying to put some aside for Scotland in June so I made a transfer into my savings account this morning. The only account that has tumbleweed blowing through it...

For those of you not in the UK, the weather is rubbish - cold and rainy. The healthy glow (I never tan) I acquired whilst sailing has long since faded and to be honest, it feels a little too like autumn for comfort!

We organised for a new broadband service last night: Orange (and yes I will blog about whether they are good, bad or indifferent!). My partner gets a great deal because she’s an Orange customer. So in 10 days of less, we will be surfing in the homestead. Great news because there’s only so much ‘personal stuff’ you can do at work! In the meantime, as Dolly says, it’s all about the 9 -5… and on that note…
